#0 Manifesto

I'm starting a newsletter today.

I enjoy writing.

I love sharing discoveries with my friends.

I figured it was time to mix both.

My name is Coralie, I’m a 27 year-old woman passionate about creating things.

I work as a Shopify Theme Developer at Clean Canvas. We craft meticulously designed themes for the Shopify Theme Store.

Creation is the cornerstone of every topic that captivates me.

99% of the content I consume on the internet is about people giving life to what is inside their head: music beats, dance choregraphies, web interfaces, interior designs.

I'm fascinated by the ability to create and the process behind it. There is something so beautiful, satisfying and inspiring about these types of endeavours.

This probably explains why I love Shopify so much: they built a tool allowing anyone to create their online store. It does not matter who you are, where you are or what you sell. By abstracting the complexity of building an ecommerce, they empower thousands of people to start projects that they love.

In this newsletter, I will share news about the Shopify ecosystem. I will comment on announcements and present the latest features.

However, it won't be solely about Shopify.

I will also write about what fuels me on a personal level: stories that inspire me and content that allows me to disconnect.

I find so much renewed energy in just being away from screens, exploring non-tech topics and building things with my own hands. I believe it's valuable to share it, so that everything does not revolve around work.

Each edition will be divided in 3 parts:

  • WORK: Shopify news, as well as side projects I'm working on.

  • INSPIRE: creative stories that inspire me.

  • EXPLORE: relaxing content (videos, articles, podcasts, etc.) to disconnect from work.

This newsletter is guaranteed zero bullshit. I will never write something I would not enjoy reading myself. I'll go straight to the point and, most importantly, I'll always be honest and transparent.

Finally, I won't use AI to help me write. As much as I like ChatGPT for debugging and code explaining, I want every word of this newsletter to come out of my own head and heart.

Feel free to answer to share your thoughts and feedback with me. This would be an invaluable help for me towards understanding you, discovering new things and improving.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading this manifesto until the end.

I'll talk to you soon.

Take good care of yourself.

Coralie
